Many people who don’t give to United Way (or any cause) say it’s because no one ever personally asked them. So ask away! Don’t be shy. The worst someone can say is, “no, thanks!” Also, don’t be afraid to ask returning donors if they would be willing to increase their contribution.

Many of our companies prefer to use our convenient e-pledge option, but paper pledge cards are always available if that works better for your employees. Click here to download the pledge card, although your United Way staff person can deliver as many as you need.

Helpful hint: If you choose to use paper pledge cards, ask your United Way staff person about how you can provide them with a data file of employee information so they can personalize the pledge cards.
