LAY THE GROUNDWORK
- Attend a Campaign Managers' Workshop.
to learn the latest and greatest about United Way’s work and get ideas for your workplace campaign. - Meet with your United Way staff person. They can help you develop a personalized plan for your workplace.
- Beef up! The more familiar you are with United Way, the better your campaign will go. Check out United Way 101 to brush up. Helpful hint: This is good to do, even if you’ve been involved with United Way for years. Our work is fluid and always changing!
- Get leadership support. Like any project, the United Way Campaign works best when people know it is supported from the top. Be sure your CEO and/or labor leader is signed on and committed to supporting the United Way Campaign through both words and actions. Have them set the example by participating in group meetings and special events.
